Great Family Hotel
This is a lovely family friendly hotel with very friendly staff throughout the hotel - great pool, great food and great entertainment. We stayed for New year's eve and there was a lot of effort put in with balloons party hats and crowns which all the girls loved. Our room was spotless and very comfy beds and I look forward to returning during the summer.
Overnight Stay Highly Recommended
Stayed here with my wife just for an over night break and had dinner in the Castle. Our stay was very pleasant right from check-in where we had a lovely welcome from the staff on reception. We had a lovely spacious room and were given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. A shuttle bus was provided to take us to Dromoland Castle which is about 5 minute drive away. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet so we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning had everything anyone could ask for and the staff were very helpful. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to any traveller. Great facilities in the hotel for children if you travel with a family.
Family stay at Mid Term
We stayed over February Mid Term Break. Family of five. Room was just right for our family. We stay at this hotel several times a year. It is one of the most family friendly hotels. We had a great break. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The food and service at Shannigans was brilliant. Have to mention the girls working in the on site play room were so nice as were the staff in the Leisure Centre.
3 night stay
From the moment I stepped through the door everything checked in to place...a lovely warm welcome...I asked if I could put my baggage in to store until check in time....my room was ready early so I was given the key leaving me free to tour. Toiletries supplied. Bedside telephone available. Room overlooking vast expanse of green. Motorway visible in the distance but no noise heard. Very pleased with the hotel and the facilities. Good choice of food for breakfast...cereals and cooked food served by attentive staff.
Tea/coffee freshly brewed on request. Toast hot and fresh.
Fabulous Food
I am fortunate to live very close the this hotel. My husband and I eat there at least once a week. Choice of food is excellent from sharing boards to tasty pasta dishes and lots more. This is also a great location to meet for coffee and scone and chat with friends. They also run a loyalty card when full you get 15euro of your bill.
Visited for a Two Day Wedding
We stayed two nights as part of a wedding party. Our room was comfortable, with a double and a single bed. No aircon but they provided a fan. The hotel is really nice and the wedding was fabulous, great food and service. Breakfast buffet was delicious. No complaints at all!
Great Stay
My wife and I only stayed one night but it was a great time! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was perhaps the best one we had during our stay. I highly recommend staying there!
Enjoyable Stay!
Fantastic staff and good location 15 mins from Shannon. It allowed us to explore the Castles nearly and chilled out in the pub within the Inn at evening time. We didn't sample the pool and spa, but will do next time. We would definitely stay here again.
Great Family Hotel
This hotel is ideal for a family break. It has large rooms available, with a double and 3 single beds -perfect for a family of 5. Kids are very well catered for and the hotel is beautifully decorated for a family hotel. What really makes this place special though, are the staff. Everyone was really pleasant, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Really well done.
Honeymoon Stop
This was one of our stop on our tour of Ireland. It was extremely nice. The rooms were all very nice and the views of the course were a lovely addition. We didn't check out the restaurant as there was a wedding reception at the time of our visit and it was a little crowded. The breakfast was great and they had a ton of options. All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
Family Reunion

Highly Impressed
Just spent the last week working in county Clare, and staying at the Inn at Dromoland. To say that I was impressed, is an understatement. As one who stays in hotels every week, while working around Ireland, I can honestly say that this hotel is one of the nicest hotels in the country, simply because it ticks all the boxes and then some. First of all, it has strong WiFi all over the hotel inc the bedrooms. This a big issue for me for work, and its something that would make me stay in a hotel or not. Bedrooms beautifully maintained, and the bed was super comfy. We were given rooms further away, for quietness, which was thoughtful. I used the leisure center, swimming pool etc (not the gym, but it has a large one) and while it probably could do with a sprucing up, fresh paint etc, it had all that you want. In terms of Food, we came back to the hotel to eat every evening in the bar. The food was fantastic, and we tried something different every evening and was not disappointed at all. The menu is extensive, but the quality of the fare is top notch. My favorite was the pan seared tuna steak salad starter. it was perfect, and perfectly done. One of the best starters I've come across on my travels. To top it off, when we left, i realised that i had left a flask in my bedroom, which I use for work, and so I rang the reception to tell them, they had it posted to me the very next day, in fact, it was actually less than 24hrs that i received it. That is amazing service. So to sum up, I would have no hesitation whatsoever, in recommending The Inn at Dromoland, as I can not fault it (and that is saying something), and I know my family and i are planning a weekend away soon, so i know now were we'll be going, and seen as i have a 6yr old grandson, I was also sussing out the facitilities for him for which there are plenty. Well done to all the staff, Thank you so much!
