Dromoland Castle offers a unique insight into the noble and ancient art of Falconry. Our guests rave about this stimulating, unique and memorable experience time and time again. All of their majestic, beautiful birds are captive bred, both in Ireland and abroad. They include different species of falcons, hawks and owls.
Dromoland Clay Pigeon Shooting offers you the chance to to shoot flying targets in the stunning surroundings of The 5 star Dromoland Castle Estate. Clay pigeon shooting is a thrilling experience, demanding calm concentration, a keen eye and quick reactions. Perfect your aim, time your shots and soon you will be notching up your ‘kills’. Of course these are not real birds and no real pigeons get hurt, making it a great sport for all of the family – young and old, men and women alike.
Archery has been around for many years. Some researchers say that people began practicing it as long as 15,000 years ago. This classic Castle pursuit is available to our guests. Archery is a great family sport suitable for ages 6yrs – 99yrs.
Enjoy a Relaxing 1 Hour Tour of the Estate whilst being given a Historical Tour of the Castles History. The Pony and Jarvey is at the disposal of our guests each day weather permitting. The tour will take you around the beautiful grounds of the Estate along with a detailed History of the Castle.
