Training and development are core values of The Inn at Dromoland. We make the conscious decision to nurture good talent when we see it. From buddy systems to trainee management programmes, training is at the forefront in developing our business and helping our team to progress to the next level. Just Starting Out:

If this is your first time working in hospitality don’t worry. All of our team members receive 2 weeks on the job training when starting with us. During your first 2 weeks you will complete, induction, compliance training and you will be buddied with a long serving team member. Someone to show you the ropes and help you get settled into your new role.

Supervisor Training Programme:

Career development is encouraged within the company.  Supervisory management courses are available to team members who wish to upskill. Courses are offered on a part time basis through a combination of class and in house training. 

Trainee Management Programmes:

If you are willing to learn we are willing to invest .The Trainee Management programme is a combination of college based learning and in house training over a three year period. The course is suitable for those wishing to embark on a career in hospitality.  A benefit is having Dromoland Castle just next door, ensuring our trainee managers receive a well rounded knowledge of both 3 and 5 star properties.

L&D Officer:

We are delighted to announce that we have a Learning and Development officer on site to oversee training within the hotel and to develop training pathways for each department.

 Online:

Hospitality is busy, busy, busy, it can be tough finding time to sit down to complete training. With this in mind, we have invested in online training platforms (Dulann) to deliver all of our compliance training, to give our teams flexibility to arrange training time around the working day.

 Student Placement:

Are you looking for somewhere to complete your college placement? We are open to candidates from all areas of hospitality. If you are a chef or a manager in training, please contact us with your CV. Placements for students from abroad also available.
